Ersson shines as Flyers beat the Islanders 1-0 in an overtime/shoot-out, Foerster scores lone SO goal
The Flyers roster is loaded with rookie and young stars. One of the more confusing things about the roster is the stock of 3 goalies. Carter Hart is the presumed starter. 2nd yearish Sameul Ersson and Felix Sandstrom, both products of Sweden, will back up Carter.
Defensemen Marc Staal and Sean Walker are veterans in their first year as Flyers. Nick Seeler, Travis Sanheim, Cam York, Egor Zamula will start the season. Rasmus Ristolainen will be a game day decision with an upper body injury.
Centers are led by the return of Sean Couturier and include Noah Cates, Morgan Frost and first year Flyer Ryan Poehling.
Poehling will lead the checking line with Nick Deslauriers and fellow newcomer Garnet Hathaway. Hathaway has had some strong plus/minus years.
Sean Couturier will center Bobby Brink and Joel Farabee. Noah Cates will center Scott Laughton and Travis Konecny. Finally Morgan Frost will center Owen Tippett and Cam Atkinson. Tyson Foerester figures in here somewhere.
These are my best guesses at the lines, but even if they were to start line this, you know Tortarella will tinker with these over these first two away games.
